Bridal Shower Advice Book

Tuesday, December 27, 2011 5 comments
Hello everyone!

Since I am getting married on April 21, 2012 my bridal shower is fast approaching for February!

I looked around online for some inspiration and what really inspired me was the blog weddings with the cricut (however I was very sad to see that the blog is no longer available :/). One of the posts showed a bridal advice book and the guests wrote their advice on tags and added them to the book.

So I decided I wanted to create a bride advice book! At my shower I will give all of the attendants a tag and they will write me their advice for marriage. When they have finished writing they will put the tag into my advice book. I wanted to share with you what I have done already!

Here is the front cover

Images were printed from google images for "vintage wedding."
Doily die is from Paper Try Ink.
Twine, mini clothespins, key, flower, bingo number is from Paper Tales store.

Snowman Tag

Monday, December 19, 2011 2 comments
Hello!

I created my very first and favorite Christmas tag!

I cut the snowman on my Cricut using the Doodlecharms cartridge in white card stock, then the shadow on Kraft card stock at 3 inches.
I cut the tag using my Gyspy with the Tags, Bags, and More cricut cartridge.
For the snowman's nose I used Martha Stewart's orange glitter. (LOVE her glitter!)
I also used my white gel pen to create stitches around the shadow.

I used my PaperTrey Ink's banner dies on my Cuttlebug using kraft card stock and distressed using Rich Cocoa Momento Ink.
For the snowman's face I used Peachy Keen's Everyday Character stamp using Black Tuxedo Momento Ink. I then drew the snowman's buttons using a blank pen.
The "There's Snow one like you" stamp was from Scrappy Mom's Christmas stamp set and was inked in Rich Cocoa Momento Ink.

Hope you enjoyed my Snowman tag!
